Support: My User Account Keeps Disappearing

If your user account and progress keep disappearing, your browser is probably deleting your flash cookies.

Product: This solution applies to the Basics Course for Small System Operators

Problem: Every time you go to log back in, you have to create a new account and all your lesson progress is lost.

Cause: New browsers are sometimes set up to delete cookies (including flash cookies) when you shut your browser down. Because we store your account information and progress with cookies, this deletes that information.

Solution: Make sure your browser is not set to delete browsing history when closed.

Internet Explorer Procedure:

  1. Open the Control Panel , and click on the Internet Options icon.
  2. In the General tab under Browsing history, uncheck the Delete browsing history on exit box, and click on OK.
